Job Description

Our client is a flexible, parent-centered employer, and wants to offer this position for any availability ranges between 10-20 hours per week to fit into your work and life.

The Resume Writer is a contract-to-hire position. Their goal is to onboard a new resume writer to the team that will convert to a full-time employee after 60 days.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to conduct intake calls with clients to gather information about their work experience, education, skills, and qualifications to create a targeted resume, cover letter, and linkedIn profile that best highlights their qualifications

  • Ability to maintain relationships with clients, including answering questions about the writing process or their resume positioning strategy via phone, email, and/or other forms of communication

  • Review job descriptions and supporting documents to ensure all intake is complete, organized, and updated

  • Ensure resume strategy is tailored to the target position of client prior to starting, and that resume remains targeted to this throughout entire project lifecycle (you will be required to justify your positioning if asked by client and maintain your expertise throughout all phases of the revision process)

  • Write cover letters to introduce the applicant and explain why they are qualified for the job in question

  • Craft LinkedIn profile content that is a simplified version of a client’s resume and helps increase their SEO

  • Review branding documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors

  • Write effective branding documents that highlight a candidate’s strengths, skills, and qualifications

  • Provide high-level career recommendations to clients about their job search and what types of jobs they are targeting

  • Support the team with requests on resume reviews, feedback, and inquiries needing resume writer perspective


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience writing across industries including Tech, Operations, Sales, Finance, Healthcare, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Logistics

  • Previous experience resume writing for all levels from early career through executive level
