Qualifications Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, business intelligence, data science, or corporate strategy.

  • 3 years of management experience leading or managing teams of analysts.

  • Experience working with SQL across datasets and risk, analytics, or dynamics in online platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with understanding complex engineering and operations systems including Machine Learning classification and data infrastructure.

  • Experience collecting, managing, and synthesizing large data sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis.

  • Experience in consultative problem solving and excellent project management, coupled with strengths in metrics analysis, experiment design, and automation.

  • Knowledge of optimizing vendor operations at scale across policy labeling or decisions.

  • People management skills with a track record of problem solving and a quantitative mind, capable of translating analytical insights into business strategies and actions.

About the job Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to belong, create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world. In this role, you are responsible for formulating metric strategies and implementing analytical solutions to improve transparency across YouTube with Key Opinion Former, Governments, and our End Users.

This includes leading a highly capable team of analysts to develop KPI and measurement across trust and safety operations, building out external narratives and reporting, developing experimentation and analysis to understand key business questions, and drive insights at an executive level to improve our business operations. You will be working cross-functionally and engaging with stakeholders from policy, operations, legal, engineering and product teams to co-own strategy and address a wide variety of complex issues such as reviewer efficiency, decision quality, enforcement timeliness, and violation risk. This role will require managing teams across different time zones as well as some on call/escalation work. Salary Range Info: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$288,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead and mentor the team to perform deep investigations and apply advanced statistical methods to large and complex data sets spanning billions of events and thousands of features from diverse data sources across the organization.

  • Lead the team to create and deploy scaled solutions ranging from complex statistical measurements, experimentation and insight platforms, and robust externalized data and reporting pipelines.

  • Formulate a practical and high impact long term strategy and goals and lead a dedicated analyst team to work closely with operations, legal, product and engineering to improve transparency of YouTube’s Trust and Safety System.

  • Measure, analyze, and develop opportunities to enhance enforcement operations at scale in a high moving environment.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in engineering, product, partnerships, policy and legal to drive complex anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas.
