Provide general support in researching and receiving remits for processing and posting.
Detail-oriented, strong attention to detail, initiative and problem solving skills
Comfortable in fast-paced environment, self-motivated and flexible
Able to independently set priorities and achieve goals
Proficient in Microsoft excel and Adobe Reader.
Effective communication using a variety of methods (face to face, voice mail, email, etc.)
Enters and modifies/corrects information in Patient Financial Systems.
Identifies and informs supervisor of any potential or existing hardware or software problems
May provide routine clerical services such as copying, maintaining records and files, etc.
Understanding of insurances (HMO, PPO, Medicare, etc.)
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Maintains client confidentiality and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma required
Health Management System and/or related field preferred
Two (2) years experience of data entry. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical office (front or back office) health information/medical record department or related experience in a medical office setting, managed care facility or hospital setting.
Experience in multitasking, this includes ability to understand multiple systems and multiple levels of benefits within each system.
Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills required.
COMPUTER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated competence using MS tools, including MC Office products
Knowledge in HMS/DAR/Medhost systems preferred.
